What Velto is

Velto is a US-based, non-custodial crypto app that pairs a real-time fraud shield with a multi-chain trading terminal. Before you sign a swap, an approval or a withdrawal, Shield checks it against live on-chain risk data and behavioral rules and tells you what it found in plain English. Then you trade on 63 chains and L2s, including Robinhood Chain, from one place, and you sign every transaction in your own wallet. Velto never holds your keys or your funds.

Security model

Built so the worst case stays small.

Velto never takes custody. The server prepares unsigned transactions and screens them; your wallet signs them. No code path lets Claude or the server move your funds.

Non-custodial

We never ask for, store or log a seed phrase or private key. The server returns unsigned transactions only.

Exact approvals

ERC-20 approvals are for the exact amount you trade, never unlimited. Approval Shield finds old risky approvals and revokes them with approve(spender, 0).

Shield gate

Every quote gets a verdict. Block returns no transaction at all. Warn requires your explicit acknowledgment. Pass trades normally.

You sign, always

Claude can research and propose a swap, but it can only create a preview. Nothing is broadcast until you approve it in your wallet.

Paper mode

Practice end to end without a wallet: real quotes, virtual fills, a separate paper portfolio.

Strict browser policy

A strict Content Security Policy: scripts load only from the velto server and two pinned library URLs, with no inline scripts, and data requests go only to the velto server. The server runs on your machine at 127.0.0.1.

Security pledge

Your key never leaves your browser.

Velto never sends, stores or logs your Anthropic API key on our servers. Your browser talks to Anthropic directly, and you can check that yourself in under a minute.

Bring your own key

Your Anthropic key stays in your browser's storage. It is only ever sent to api.anthropic.com, never to Velto.

Verify it yourself

Open DevTools, go to the Network tab and ask Copilot something. The key appears only in requests to api.anthropic.com. Our step-by-step guide shows how.

Legal responsibility

If it is ever proven that Velto leaked or misused a client's API key, we accept full legal responsibility and will cooperate with law enforcement.
